Fraser couldn't really believe it was September already. The summer was nearly over which meant winter was fast approaching. Fraser was sitting behind the lobby desk, going through rent checks and other beginning of the month documents that needed to be filed and finished today.

Once again, Diefenbeker was utterly bored with all this. He was sitting just outside the front door (which Fraser had propped open) and was sunning himself in the still warm weather. Fraser wanted to go out and join him at times but he was determined to finish what he'd started. Once he was done, then there'd be leisure time.

Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center, Thursday

Anyone coming into Wellspring Arms would first pass a sign on the door that said, Hope You're Here For The Second Thing. They would then find an on-the-short-side thirteen-year-old boy standing behind the counter. If they were then confused, that was okay. Alex completely understood.

Wellspring Arms was open.

Caritas, Thursday Night (9/1)

"Sing it!" The zombies all shook their heads, looking mutinous. "Sing it or I'll Febreeze your butts back to dust!" The zombies pouted. Euuugh. "Okay, you can just play it. Come on! It's part of your cultural heritage!"

The zombies finally gave in, and played Jonathan Coulton's 'RE: Your Brains', and picked up the tempo whenever Kenzi sling-shot bar peanuts at them.

She served Mr. Caffrey a bowl of Kahlua & cream. "If you get sloppy drunk on this, I'm takin' pictures." He gave her a look from under the fedora. "Fair warning!"
