On Monday it had been peanut butter... today? Today it was jam. Strawberry, he suspected, although he wasn't about to taste it to find out.

"That's just unsanitary," he chided, well, no one in particular as he pulled out a speaker chassis filled with jam. "Honestly," he clucked, shaking his head. "This island, sometimes."

Stark Industries was sticky open!

Sam couldn't really remember the last time he'd had an actual date. There hadn't been time or really even the motivation over the last few months between getting kidnapped, getting tortured, learning who he was, and then killing the man who'd revealed all that. He'd just been a little too busy to bother with dates.

He at least remembered enough about previous dates to know that he had to make himself look presentable (which he did) and he had to show up slightly early (which he was). He'd never been into Fast Eddie's before so he spent a few minutes just looking around before he found his way over to a pinball game that caught his attention.

Maybe it was the skull and crossbones. Maybe it wasn't. Whatever it was, Sam fed the machine a few quarters and started to play it while he waited for his date. She didn't seem like a bowling person so he assumed that it would be food and video games for the both of them.

As long as he didn't have to wear a tie, this date was golden.

[Sam's waiting for someone but Fast Eddie's is an open place in town, as always]

Oh, hey, a quiet day at the hotel. That weird bird was even gone.

Quinn was happy enough that the election and first sorority meeting had gone off without a hitch that she intended to enjoy the relative peace. After she did the usual hotel stuff -- scheduling a meeting here, ordering fresh linens there -- she settled in behind her laptop and started idly clicking through hairstyle websites. She was feeling like it was time for a change.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Lucrezia had not been on a date before, if one did not count those three-minute ones in the bar the previous weekend. Perhaps her closest equivalent would be when Djem had taken her on a picnic within the courtyard, even if her brothers had been in attendance. Pity that day had ended with Djem's death.

Such thoughts were unwelcome today.

Lucrezia did not know what girls of this era wore on dates. She had a class assignment to find modern clothes, and would endeavor to do so, but not now. Now, she was wearing a fetching silk creation in a pale shade of wintergreen. Bruce had not specified that dates required modern garb; if he had wished to see her in such, he should have said so.

Lucrezia was also glancing over a menu which she did not comprehend.

"Would you believe I have never eaten sushi?" she asked him.

Was it odd to date someone that one had once married, and attempted to kill? It had all been a fever dream, of course. Consider this an experiment, then.

(lucrezia's here for the bat, who was modded with permission, but sushi station is open for all your raw fish needs!)

Nathan wasn't doing much of anything today. He was drinking (of course) but every time he finished a shot of whatever alcohol he'd poured, he would sling the shot glasses down to Tino's end of the bar and giggle when they clinked against each other. Tino would shoot him a dirty look and start collecting the glasses to wash before Nathan started the whole process all over again.

He was easily entertained and Tino's dirty looks were fucking hilarious. Nathan even named it Shot Glass Bowling which didn't make much sense to Tino since it wasn't anything like bowling but he wasn't going to bring that up. He'd just grumble and collect glasses.

After handwavily finally getting out of that locker where he'd been trapped, Lion-o figured that he should show up early at work to make up for his absence. The staff was happy to have him back, though they couldn't figure out why he wouldn't talk about his experiences. "This crazy girl made me promise to never say a word about it," Lion-o explained with a shrug. That didn't stop the bus boy from following him around all day, pleading for Lion-o to share. But Lion-o remained true to his word and said nothing.
