Dite's Decadent Delights, Wednesday Afternoon

Normally, Karla didn't work on Wednesdays, but Raven had had a brilliant idea yesterday, and Karla was loathe to let another minute go to waste on it.

So after an hour with a large roll of paper and some colored glitter, Karla was able to hang up a huge banner on the front window of 'Dite's announcing a ( contest! )

After putting up the ballot box, Karla dusted off her hands and looking rather smug at a job well-done. Best. Investment. Ever. She patted the store's newest edition and headed back inside. "Ouch!" she said, looking down at her scratched palm. "Careful, that chicken will cut you."

Quinn was in a good mood as she got to work, and even the steady stream of phone calls from alumni looking to book their rooms couldn't do much to dampen it. Yes there was sunproof glass, no Kosher food wasn't a problem, and as for the lady who wanted absolute assurance the hotel had no bedbugs, she'd transfer him to Mary's voicemail for her to sort out.

Though she was a bit paranoid about the guy who seemed a little too interested in whether anyone had turned evil lately, or might be on the brink. Call her crazy, but the word "minion" came up in the conversation made her a bit twitchy.

Cafe Luke's, Wednesday

Lion-o appreciated the efforts of the staff to find more foods that he would like, but he had to take issue with the lettuce wraps. "Burgers should be on a bun! You can't wrap it up in lettuce leaves and still call it a burger," he protested. He also refused to eat their burgers until someone got him hamburger buns. At least, he started out that way, but by lunchtime he settled for eating just the burger part and leaving the lettuce behind.

After a week off, Nathan returned to Caritas expecting some fanfare. When he walked in, there was no fanfare. The band wasn't even on stage. Nope, they were all sitting around the bar with Tino, playing a fucking game of Scrabble.

"Get the fuck back to work!" Nathan yelled, shooing them all away. "If you fucks left body parts and dead skin behind here, I am going to make Tino lick it up!"

Tino looked so thrilled. Nathan got himself a drink and took up a spot behind the bar.

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Jessica had taken advantage of Fandom clearing out for the fall break to head back home for another visit. Still no sign of Sookie, to her disappointment, and Bill was busy doing King stuff. It was much more fun, she decided, to be a princess and not a queen and have to worry about all those boring things.

She got back in town just in time for her shift at the Devil's Nest. And since she'd stopped for a bite before she got there, she was happily full.
