So Romeo and Dojima's weekend trip to Fandom hadn't gone exactly as planned. He'd had his first legal drink on the mainland (which was quickly followed by his second, third, and fourth legal drinks), followed that with a lovely dinner, and crashed into a very nice hotel room too late to do more than a quick pass though familiar haunts.

Sometime Monday, Romeo might even view that as a missed opportunity.

But it had been far from his mind when he woke the next morning and carefully pulled on the warmest clothes he could find, trying not to wake the blond girl. He didn't like most girls much, and she might get him in trouble for exploring on his own anyhow. Once he was dressed, he grabbed a muffin from a basket in the room and took it down to the beach. It was chilly, and there weren't palm trees like in Verona, but that was okay. There was still sand and water. He did a few experimental cartwheels to warm up, then settled in with a bucket to build the biggest sandcastle he could manage.

[OOC: Open, of course. It has been far too long since he was wee.]

Surely there were plenty of things Zayne could be doing right now to take care of the place a little bit. But screw that, he was playing with blocks. He wasn't even sure what exactly he was building, but it sure was big. He was using the Force to place blocks on the other side of the lobby as he was fixing the sections of wall that went down when he used the Force to place blocks on this side.

Blocks were astral.

[OOC: If you're interested in renting at MCA, there is one apartment available. Information on apartments is here.]

When it became abundantly clear that the fellow who normally worked on Saturdays wasn't coming in, Howard opened the shop himself. Not that there was ever any business to handle. So, it was mostly just for show.

Oh, he didn't know about the whole kid thing. No one had warned him! No one had warned him!

So, for now, he was going to work on a few blueprints. The kind that needed to be drawn, not the kind suited to the computers still downstairs. And not just because he didn't know how yet.

Shut up.

Let's just say that it was a good thing Eric decided to sleep in his bed in his apartment rather than the coffin at the club last night, because when he woke up four hours later, he was seven years old and human.

And far too eager to explore. He spent a solid twenty minutes flipping the lightswitches on and off, then flushing things down the toilet and feeding them to the garbage disposal (which was in no way equipped to deal with a fork, a knife and a vase from the living room), then jumped on his bed for a half hour before bursting out of the apartment and tearing into the playground.

He had no idea what the purpose of the slides or swings were (not a lot of children's....anything back where he came from), but he was eager to experiment.

Chattering happily to himself in ancient Norse, Eric Northman played in the sun for the first time in a thousand years.

[OOC: Oh so open.]

Right. So, here Jono was, with a day off. And people-watching seemed to be The Thing To Do on his days off, having been a Saturday afternoon tradition for... all of a week, now. It counted.

So he made his way to the Perk, trying not to make faces at the abundance of children running around the streets today, and mostly wondering to himself if they were the locals, or if they belonged to the locals. Or would, someday, anyhow. Around here it was important to make those distinctions, after all.

When he arrived at the Perk and was pertly informed by the young lady at the counter that she wasn't allowed to pour the hot water without her mommy around, that question was answered, at least. And, after walking the little girl through how to tell apart nickels from quarters and giving her a shiny penny of her own for a job well done, Jono finally managed to place his order and found a free table to settle down at and people-watch.

With apple juice. Ah, Fandom.

When Bo had woken up today, she found a note by her bed that said Get to work early today to help Tiny with inventory. She didn't entirely remember writing it -- she must've been really tired last night -- but it was in her own handwriting, so it must be true. She had a job!

Which she even managed to find, after a few hours of exploring her room looking for an address. And cartoons. And Froot Loops. And more cartoons. And a walk through town that wouldn't have taken nearly as long, even for seven-year-old feet in blue and white Keds, if everything hadn't been so distracting. Five o'clock was still early, right?

That was what she asked Tiny when she got there. Bo thought Who the hell are you was a totally inappropriate reply, and not just because of the bad word.

"I'm Bo, silly. I'm here early to help you with the inventory. What are we gonna invent?"

Apparently they were going to invent drink specials. At least that was what Tiny said after he finished hitting his face with his hand.

Visitors would find the usual specials board replaced with one made of construction paper, glitter, rainbow stickers and smelly fruit markers. It had a lot of blank space for adding new stuff -- or more glitter, not that there was much left after the incident with Tiny's hair -- but it started like this:

Specials
Choclate bananana milk: 50 cents
Strawberry pinapple milk: 55 cents
Cherry milk shake with cherrys and cherry icecream and choclate and bananana: 75 cents
Piggieback Rides: 85 cents plus TIP

Help us with inventory! Make up a new drink, get it freeee!

***Choclate peenut butter milk shake inventoryed by RICHIE: 75 cents
***Lots of chocOlate and a cherry milk shake and NO BANANAS inventoryed by SUSAN: 75 cents
***Orange and strawberry and cimmonnin milk shake inventoryed by KENZI: 75 cents
***Strawberry blackberry milk shake inventoryed by TOBY: 75 cents
***Chocolate with some strawberry and bublegum and Rainbo Sprinkel milk shake inventoryed by GUY: 75 cents

She'd had to talk Tiny down from a dollar for the piggieback rides, which was just ridiculous.

[Open! Serving milk and fruit and chocolate concoctions of all sorts except the alcoholic kind.]

There had been small children running around this morning. There were still small children running around now. It had been a while since Stark had seen an invasion of tiny people (he never ended up small, no matter how many times he was here for this sort of thing) and he was enjoying it so far.

Small children were likely to enjoy baked goods as much as he did, Stark reasoned, and so he headed to JGoB. Just in case there weren't already enough sources of sugary foods and drinks for the children to enjoy today. One abnormally young employee waved happily from a table where she was decorating turkey-shaped sugar cookies with a frighteningly bright shade of pink frosting. Stark complimented her on the cookies and headed to the counter for a cupcake before sitting at another table.

[The alien will be happy to provide cupcakes to any and all weetinies. Substitutions for other deliciously unhealthy treats can be made.]

"HORSIE!"

Today was not the day to get riding lessons at The Gig because the instructor was a very little girl who couldn't reach the saddle. But it was a good day to watch a hyper little Dani running around the stable, squealing about how much she loved horsies and would take extra-good care of them if her daddy bought them for her.
