Quinn had returned from a not-terribly-painful Christmas back in Lima, new earrings from Puck sparkling underneath the new haircut she couldn't stop playing with.

She hoped it would be safe from random wallaby attack this time.

It seemed to be a mellow day at the hotel, and Gunther kept emerging from the kitchen with leftover holiday treats for her to sample. The time was perfect for Quinn to work on her list of New Year's resolutions.

Shira was busy unpacking the latest shipment -- why was there so much stuff in it? She'd been unpacking since pretty much the moment she set foot in the store.

But it was something to do, and it made her feel productive, so she wasn't really going to complain. She was just going to unpack like an unpacking thing and hope somebody came in to distract her.

William had missed a couple shifts lately due to player availability fail, and so was quite pleased to walk in to the shop and find nothing amiss that particular morning.

Not even an errant peach.

He settled down with an issue of Discover magazine and a mug of tea, ready to help anyone should they have technology-related needs.

Cafe Fina, Wednesday Evening

Raven and Jono had planned a dinner date some time earlier, though the holidays and plane trips had forced a slight rescheduling. But now that Christmas was over and things were still quiet before new students arrived and classes started up again, it was easier to find time to spend together, and Raven had been looking forward to this.

"I do not think I have never been here before," Raven remarked, looking around the restaurant as they arrived.

The Perk- Wednesday evening

After yesterday's constant duct-taping of zombies, Kitty really didn't feel like hanging around the bar today. For some strange reason. So tonight she was hanging out at the Perk, hugging a cup of something nice and hot like it was her best friend... metaphorically, anyway, and trying to people watch through the window.

Which was a little bit easier in anything other than a small town, really.
