The place was open tonight, and hopefully people had actually heard about or seen the signs for the Over 18 party. Otherwise... this was going to be lame, oops.

The bar was open in case anyone wanted to drink (imagine that), and the floor in the back room had been mostly cleared with the tables pushed back so people could mingle or eventually sleep if they ended up not wanting to trudge home later.

And there was a sign out.

Magic Box, Saturday, Jan. 7

Cassie was at the Magic Box bright and early on Saturday morning.

She was thrilled not only to have an actual job, but to have one where she could have access to information that would help her learn more about who she was. Between having a job at the Magic Box and meeting Tara, she was starting to think that there might be some advantages to being sent away from her home and most of her Circle.

The shop was open and Cassie only looked a little bit nervous.

Cable was not especially avoiding his father.

He was just... biding his time. Coming up with a few possible scenarios to work with. Listening to the radio to determine whether he had to keep Jan a secret from him or not.

Or, in this case, judging Jan's finger paintings with a critical eye. "Cyke," she informed him, pointing at the stick figure with the sunglasses and the over-exaggerated teardrop by his face. "He's emooooooo."

"Wade needs to stop telling you about my family history," Cable said. Dryly.

Wellspring Arms was open. And full of children's paintings.

She was all for a chance to scope out the apparently hot bartender from the other bar that she never got to meet up with because they worked the same nights peering at supporting one's peers, and it really wasn't fair to make Tiny miss the fun, either.
