There were a few hours left till Jaina's portal, so naturally she spent it training. That would probably be abnormal for most people, but here we were. And she was finding that maybe she had some things to take out on a punching bag, which was probably spurred on by thoughts that once she got home she might have to see if she could maybe get some of the better people to train with without letting on why.

So if you needed to see Jaina for anything, you.... probably didn't have to guess very hard as to where she might be, no.

[I swear to god she's leaving after this. Open, with slight SP warning depending on how much work I walk into.]

So far so quiet, and Kennedy hadn't had to cut her vacation short for any emergencies back home. (Yet.) She'd spent a good chunk of yesterday out on the mainland doing some shopping, taking time out every now and then to field work-related phone calls from various Scoobies and Scooby-adjuncts and this was all weirdly businesslike.

Anyway.

It was weird, just hanging out on a park bench with a mocha (and a slice of pie) and enjoying the day; she'd always been too restless for that sort of thing before, but... well, she guessed it had something to do with actually having a constructive channel for that restless energy now. And just hanging out here was oddly relaxing.

Even if she was half preoccupied with contemplating how quiet the island was compared to home, or to L.A. The contrast was more obvious now. Huh.

There was pie at the hotel today.

Lots and lots and lots of pie, on every surface Quinn could see. Sweet pies, savory pies, big pies, tiny pies. Apparently Gunther was getting a little punchy again: He'd started throwing pie pans at room service staff who asked for anything that wasn't a pie.

Quinn's plans for the day were therefore 1)stay out of the kitchen and 2)eat pie. It would make for an easy day.

Welcome to the Arms Hotel!

Lion-o didn't know a whole lot about basketball. Still, the busboy persuaded him to fill out a March Madness bracket just for fun. He worked on it when he was between customers for most of his shift. And in the end, Lion-o picked Kansas State to be the final winner. He just might have been biased when he realized that their mascot was a wildcat.

Shira was happily humming under her breath as she moved about the shop, dusting and tidying and just in general making sure the place looked nice.

It didn't take her long, and then she was tucking herself behind a counter with a book.

Nathan and his player almost forgot about his shift tonight. He didn't rush in or anything stupid like that but he did stroll in very late, already half drunk and reeking of something that wasn't cigarette smoke.

Tino rolled his eyes and took up a spot at the end of the bar to be away from that stench. Nathan just smirked and started drinking anew. It wasn't a good night unless he got rip roaring drunk, you see.
