Playing with circuit boards in the shop? Totally a good way to spend a Saturday.

What? It was. Ask anyone.

The day after a show was always a sort of bittersweet one. Not that Jono had been involved in many shows, really. This and the Winter Showcase were pretty much it, so far as theatrical productions were concerned, and playing in pubs and the like was hardly a comparable experience.

Still, there were sets to pull down. Costumes to have cleaned and packed away. Props to rummage through, to see what could be salvaged for future performances.

Petey Sci-Fi had gone well, but now it was time to start looking toward the future. Maybe something more serious in the fall, and opening the building up for a wider variety of performing arts through the summer? Idly, Jono wondered how much of the cost he'd be eating himself if he tried to bring a band in for an actual concert, on an island as small as this one. Who was touring these days? The Be Sharps? Buckaroo Banzai and the Hong Kong Cavaliers? A Big Troll And Some Other Trolls? The Soggy Bottom Boys?

... Definitely not Sugar Kane. Jono had gotten his fill of Sugar Kane over the past few years. But he'd come up with something.

[Man of Constant Sorrow started playing on the radio while I was trying to come up with fictional bands. I laughed. Open post, OCD-Free!]

When Dani got to the barn, she found crates holding a year's worth of saddle soap waiting for her. "This is some kind of sign that I haven't been keeping up with cleaning tack, right?" she asked out loud, but there was no answer. This was going to be a very long, very messy day.

The Gig was open, and anyone was welcome to help Dani with spring cleaning in the barn.

Bo wasn't sure which was more annoying: the fact that she was still picking toast crumbs out of her hair from last night's Petey Sci-Fi performance, or that she was still humming Toucha-Toucha-Touch Me under her breath.

Mostly under her breath. Every so often Tiny would give her a funny look. At least until Bo finally lost it and reminded him that she had the power to toucha-toucha-touch him into voluntarily putting on a corset and fishnets and she knew just where to get some on short notice, Mister.
