When she had downtime today, Annie was working on a list comparing and contrasting the community colleges from back home, trying to figure out which one was Right For Her. The way she figured, if one wasn't, she was going to have to flip out and do something drastic and no one wanted that, least of all her. Especially since she didn't know what that something drastic was. See why she didn't want to get to that point?

Droids, by the way, were no help in figuring this sort of thing out. True story.

There was only so much inventory a witch could do before she started getting twitchy, and Surreal wasn't exactly a center of tranquility at the best of times. Or ever.

So she'd called in a battered little journal and set to work. It was one thing to sell the ingredients for potions...why not have a few of the finished products available? Tersa and Titian had taught Surreal many of the basics of a Widow's craft - at least, the ones she could master as a non-Widow - and she was a fair hand at potions. A better hand at poisons, to be sure, but... practice makes perfect, right?

Bubble bubble toil and trouble... the Magic Box is open, but don't drink that one. Or that one. Surreal might just laugh if you do.

Vincent was wearing bunny ears. He was attempting to get the kitchen staff to wear them, too.

What? It was Easter Monday. That was totally a thing!

Of course, he was also refusing to let anyone sit on one particular stool at the counter. He liked to be all-inclusive in his theme days.

Today's specials
Bone-in leg of lamb
Matzo ball soup
Devilled eggs
Kugel
Hot cross buns

Luke's was open.

Ender had come to enjoy the quieter weekends Fandom kicked their way. This one had been no different: he'd gotten some decent - for his standards - sleep, he'd gotten work done, and there was nothing in particular that had gone in any way terribly pear-shaped.

That couldn't last forever; he was well aware of it. Preparing for it.

But today, he was coming into Stark's early and looking well-rested, forgoing the desk so he could dive into the back of the store, turn on the holograph, and run some simulations to help out the colonists on Shakespeare.

The semester was almost over, and Dean found himself wanting a place to just sit back and relax while he contemplated his plans for the summer. Well. Idly contemplated, anyhow. And for a certain measure of 'relax,' really. He should have been contemplating, except he was all too easily distracted by a mainland newspaper he'd picked up, followed by the twitchy urge to doodle on a napkin, some scattershot conversation with the baristas, and those fleeting thoughts that came best when accompanied by one's fifth shot of espresso.

"You know what this place needs? Poetry readings. I'm just sayin', guys."

No, Dean. No, it didn't.
