The Boards, Wednesday Evening, Rehearsal

"If you don't have your pieces ironed out and memorized by now," Jono said without preamble the moment he was certain everyone who was showing up at rehearsal was actually there, "now would be the time to get worried. I'll be opening the Boards on Saturday if you want time to rehearse, but I understand that the day new people arrive on the island is always hectic, so I won't exactly be chasing you down to throttle you if you aren't here, either."

Look, if people weren't properly rehearsed for the show on Sunday, it wasn't him that wound up looking like an idiot on the stage. Jonothon was maybe not the most sympathetic director ever, no.

"Get up there and smooth out the kinks. I'll be right here if you need anything."

It was a lazy day, which meant that Alice was sitting behind the counter and texting, every so often glancing up to look around the shop.

She liked easy days like this, she really did. Though she did need to talk to her bosses at some point, next time she saw them, but that was nothing that couldn't be taken care of later on.

Easy day, yay!

Shira was busy unpacking shipments and mentally composing a letter home. She didn't really need to write home all that often, but she knew it made Ranon and some of the others feel better to hear from her more than once every couple of months.

Once the shipments were put away, she sat behind a counter to work on scribbling out her letter, taking advantage of the quiet moments between customers to get things written down.

It was a peaceful day, all in all.
