Upon arriving at the shop today, Topher was derailed from his plan of continuing to watch Comic-Con panels on his laptop by the slightly alarming sound of hyenas somewhere in the shop.

Of course he got up and checked -- with the help of a very curious wolf puppy -- but there were no hyenas to be found. Deciding it would be better not to question it, he reclaimed his seat behind the desk, and went right back to watching feeds from San Diego.

Look, if there was some hyena hiding somewhere, it could wait to be dealt with until after the BioWare panel. Okay?

Jono had a sore back.

Jono had a sore back, and a sore front. His top wasn't doing so well, either, and neither was his bottom. As a matter of fact, it was probably safe to say that all of Jono was actually feeling pretty bloody rotten.

Yes, he'd gone back to New York to do more training with the New Warriors.

Yes, he'd sparred against Jubilee, and no, she wasn't faring much better than he was at the moment. If you asked either of them, it had been a much-needed tussle. Neither one of them was the sort to get over their frustrations by sitting still, after all.

Still, Jono wasn't doing anything today but sit sprawled out in a chair in his office, feet up on the desk, reading. Turning the page to a Vonnegut novel was about the upper limit of his physical capacity at least until some of the bruises started to fade, damn it.

Miriam had been doing so well. She'd managed two weeks in Fandom without touching someone until the guy behind the counter at JGOB had touched her arm to get her attention and ugh she did not need to see that before eating. So now with no appetite for breakfast she was sitting on a bench and tearing her muffin into pieces and flicking them at the ducks and generally feeling pissed off at the world until she could get the vision out of her head.

Dani was not having a good day. She slept in this morning, feeling a little under the weather. Somewhere around noon, she remembered that it was Saturday and rushed straight to work. Now she was still scrambling to get through all of the chores that normally got finished in the morning.

The Gig was open, even if the owner doesn't seem completely with it today.

There was a lion cub in the bar, and it seemed like Tino had his hands full with that. That was disappointing, because April had really hoped she'd get to maybe harrass Tino a bit today. But alas, no.

Fortunately, she was at least able to annoy him by painting her nails (black, of course) where he could smell the polish. Sanitary for a bar? Maybe not. But it was happening.
