Okay, enough moping about. Jonothon was going to get up, today. Do something. Something productive, even. Jonothon was going to promote things.

Look, other businesses had been doing this 'marketing strategy' thing for ages, but The Boards liked to march to the beat of its own drum. If anybody needed Jonothon, he'd be sitting in the lobby, replacing the strings on that old acoustic guitar he'd dug up the other day.

Dani's last hair elastic had snapped while she was getting dressed this morning. She hated having to push her hair out of face while working in the barn, especially when she was mucking out stalls. But at least she had a stash of emergency elastics in her office at The Gig.

However, she found that her normal, discreet elastics had been replaced with a rainbow assortment of scrunchies like the type an Olympic gymnast would wear. Normally, Dani wouldn't be caught dead in a scrunchie. But desperate times call for desperate measures. That's why Dani was sporting the large white scrunchie in her hair while going through chores.

So apparently there had been a party here last night. Besides being briefly annoyed that those things and the subsequent increase in tips never happened on the nights that she was working, April didn't mind too much, because parties meant lots of people, which meant needing to spend more time pretending to, you know, give a shit about people.

So tonight she was overseeing Tino tidying up what remained of the mess from last night, and then, once that was completed to her satisfaction, watching bad reality shows on her tablet.

Oh, what was that? Some people might have opted to watch the Olympics? Please.

"Yes, even you," said Bo, sliding a novelty giant-size beer mug across to Tiny and adding the price to the notepad she'd stashed beside the cash register.

She didn't even have the heart to throw anything at him when he admitted after draining half the beer that as far as he remembered, they'd barely even interacted after she'd quit the Devil's Nest and went to work for Umbridge.
