Yes, it was Sparkle's first shift of the semester in the fancy-assed clothing store, which meant that he was going to go out of his way, just this once, to look presentable in case any new people wandered in.

What this meant, really, was that he hadn't bothered with his make-up this morning and he'd just left his hair to do whatever after his shower, and since he had no clean clothes he was wearing some of last season's fashions off the discount rack and was going to try to pass it all off as vintage. He'd put it all back where he found it, later. And then maybe contemplate doing laundry, finally.

... Naaah.

Right, so, Stiles was gonna call yesterday a good day despite some missteps. He had met new people and only made an ass of himself once or twice and said missteps had to do with Beacon Hills fallout rather than anything Fandom had to do with. So all in all, he had a pretty positive view of the school so far.

Now he had to explore the island. He wanted to know this place as well as he knew home because for some crazy ass reason Stiles tended to be running around the wilderness at night quite often. First stop was the Perk because you couldn't go wandering around a strange place without caffeine, even if you were someone as hyperactive as Stiles was. He grabbed a coffee and a pastry and took a seat by the window so he could people watch as he ate.

It was Jaina's first shift, and while she was definitely no stranger to the club, being behind the bar was completely new, and it gave her an entirely different perspective. No, really. Being here rather than on the other side of the bar or hanging out in the VIP lounge made the whole bar look different. It was taking some getting used to.

She was spending the beginning of her first day familiarizing herself with where everything was and how everything worked, and also realizing that she'd have to deal with 100% less potential of naked Tino at this job than she had when she was working at Caritas. And that was going to be her happy thought for the entire night.

Yes, Tino was writing poetry at the bar. Bad poetry. There was rhyming and liberal use of the word 'tawny' to describe hair.

That was possibly why Guy was not at the bar tonight. Oh no, he was going to be doing some inventory in the back room. Safe from all the crazy that had come over the place.

Plus, he got to get rid of the shitty beer by claiming it was going skunky. It was the little things in life that you had to appreciate.

With a crop of new students and teachers on the island, Coulson thought he would make things nice and simple. He made a very nice, neat little sign that he put on the counter:

I'm sorry, we will probably not sell you guns any guns.
You can browse, or you can use our meditation room.
Thank you.

He figured that would do it. Unless nobody read the sign before asking questions. But Coulson chose to believe that people would be more polite than that.
