After working on the posters last night at the bar, Kitty was going around town today making sure they got up and that no one could reasonably say they didn't know this was happening. Look, there probably hadn't been a person ever who'd thrown a party without worrying no one was going to come. Thus, posters. Lots of posters.

You must be 18 or over to enter the party.
You can still pay my bar money if you're under 18.
You're welcome.]

[Can be open if you wanna catch Kitty around!]

The great thing about working in a place like Stark's was the opportunity to use your time productively building something complex.

And if you removed the word "productively" from that sentence, that was what Jessica was doing as she took every business card she could find and started building it up into a tower. She may have used a small dab of webbing in some of the less stable spots to temporarily keep it from falling over. That also guaranteed that in about an hour, the tower would collapse spectacularly as the webbing dissolved deep inside the tower.

It turned out that the Perk's barista was either a massive jerk or just hated adorable animals or was doing her job like a normal person, because she'd made this whole big deal about April bringing a pitbull puppy into the café, even after April had strongly encouraged said puppy to bite the barista's arm. (It hadn't worked, unfortunately.) So as a consequence, April was forced to bring her coffee and broccoli muffin (don't judge) outside, where she promptly settled on the sidewalk with her back to the wall to enjoy her food.

Even though April passionately hated the outdoors and all that being outside stood for, she had to admit it was a better temperature outside than inside. But feeding her dog bits of veggie muffin just wasn't as appealing when there wasn't the risk of getting crumbs all over the Perk floor for the barista to have to clean up. Sad, that.

Not that it was stopping her or anything. What, it was cute.

Today the DJ wasn't playing any overemotional sap like last week. Instead, he seemed to have finally found the one sort of music that didn't make Derek glare too much at him for his continued existence. It was the kind of music that you could have a fight to!

Or shout about having a restraining order to. One of them!

Either way, the bar was once again open and oh so friendly.

It was a slow day in the shop, and there wasn't anything to unpack today, which meant that Shira had the time to sit back and enjoy the day once she tidied up and rearranged a few things.

First up? Writing a letter home, because she still hadn't told anyone that she was a library aide, too. So she wrote that letter, leaving out that the library had anything like Special Collections, or even that the regular books occasionally had minds of their own. She'd save that for another time.

No need to have Ranon and the others ready to descend on Fandom just yet.
