The island was far too quiet with everyone gone. Next time, Jack might throw pride out the window and bother his housemates until one of them made him their plus-one.

But for now, there was paperwork. It was liquor license renewal time, which meant Pam -- in her infinite wisdom -- had sent along the preliminary paperwork for Jack to assemble. He really shouldn't be surprised by now how many different ways the government could ask for the same information, but he continually was.

He was daydreaming about safari as he wrestled with the forms.
