Feet firmly buried on the sand, Alice decided that she liked the quiet. Sure, it was a quiet that it didn't seem like it would last much, but whatever was to come, she didn't really have a say in it, and would probably benefit out of it anyway. It was perhaps because she had spent so much time around sand, but the beach made her feel at least a bit at ease.

It could also have been because of the sight of the sea, which she hadn't seen since...well, she had no idea. She just hoped to grow bored about the sea soon enough, lest she secretly was the kind of person that stopped to marvel about nature and made paintings of the waves. Now that would be a side of herself she wouldn't expect to have.

Stiles had showered before and after he had gotten back to Fandom and still he felt like he reeked of chlorine and god knows what else. He also could barely move due to soreness in muscles he didn't even realized he had, but there were so many naps one could take before they had to get down to business trying to figure out what the hell a kanima was.

He couldn't be around his bed without collapsing on it and falling asleep so he went to the Perk and claimed a table of his own to spread out his laptop, about three cups of coffee, a scone and a purple notebook that was titled "Freaky Shit I Have To Deal With" where he kept all his notes on werewolves and giant lizards. He had gotten a copy of the beastiary put on a thumb drive but damn if he could figure out any of it.

He had to find someone who could read Archaic Latin.

The town was extra quiet this week, to the point where Coulson felt he should probably add just a tiny bit of noise to the world. In this case, that noise was the turning pages of a newspaper in which, strangely, it seemed like there was nothing but good news. Maybe it was a joke newspaper or the editor just bought a kitten or something, but Coulson would take it. A day like this really made it good to be alive.

[OOC: Speaking of good news and Coulson being alive: EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Can be open, sure, even if I mostly posted JUST TO SPAZ OUT A BIT.]

The Gazette didn't have much NEWS news in it, but Carl was determined to keep printing. And delivering. He managed to find Buster playing in what Carl was going to refer to as simply the 'rubber room'. It took a few uncomfortable moments but Carl finally managed to separate the pup from it's new favourite chew toy.

... VERY uncomfortable moments. "Of all the things for you to find... why did they even leave this stuff behind?!"

Carl ended up carrying the dog downstairs and, after a brief struggle, got him into the satchel full of newspapers. Which of course Buster thought was awesome and as soon as Carl let go, Buster headed to the door, tail wagging.

"See? You'll be a good news dog! All ready to go deliver these and maybe get a few new subscribers while we're out there?" Carl grabbed his keys and hat and opened the door.

And Buster took off.

"What the- Hey! Come back here!"
