Sure, there'd just been an event a couple weeks ago at homecoming, but uh, that hadn't gone exactly as planned. So tonight the community center had been decorated in reds and oranges and yellows, several pumpkins had been repurposed from Halloween to serve as decorations, hay bales (don't ask) and there was a large (glittery) sign reading

STUDENT COUNCIL PRESENTS

Here you go, Fandom. A nice, normal start to a totally nice, normal weekend.

There were no Halloween leftovers at Goodvalor's today. Which was perhaps not surprising, given that it was now a full two days after the holiday, and besides, everyone besides Toby who worked here wasn't even from this planet.

There was, however, an excess of Fornax rings. So.

Well, April and her dog were going home this weekend to do some kind of temp job for the Pawnee city government or something (apparently her dad knew someone who worked there and owed them a favor? She hadn't really asked too many questions), but until then, it was Friday and she had coffee.

Really good coffee, actually. It seemed like now that Halloween was over, the baristas were being really liberal with their use of the pumpkin spice syrup, and April had to admit it was pretty delicious when they didn't skimp on it. Seriously.

When Alec opened the door to the shop Friday morning, he was greeted with the really spectacular smell of rotting pumpkins that had been half-devoured by angry bunnies several days ago.

Why anyone had half-devoured a pumpkin was beyond him. Why this hadn't been cleaned up since then, he had no idea. How, exactly, one was expected to clean up the resulting mess was equally bewildering, given that he had no idea where the cleaning supplies were located and had never used a broom in his life.

Alec had a lot of answers to figure out today and only eight hours (minus a break for Student Council) to do it. The clock started now. This was... Competitive Tidying.

Allie was at her post near the door with her nose buried in yet another book. This time it was a history of medieval Europe. She didn't know where half of the places the book talked about were, but it was still interesting.

The Devil's Nest was open.

Hayrides did not sound Mike's speed, although he probably would have made his way over just out of curiosity. But he dutifully showed up at Caritas, where he proceeded to further familiarize himself with the kinds of booze they had on offer.

No, not by drinking. By looking at the bottles. He was yet to find the Froot Loop vodka Laurie had been talking about, but he had found both the cake flavored as well as the marshmallow ones, which in his opinion were just as weird.

Tino was still moping at him for whatever reason. He paid that no mind.
