Alice was hiding perched behind the counter, reading a random magazine she had picked up. It was apparently about bows, but she wasn't paying much attention to it. She was, in fact, pretending to be part of the furniture. Things kept getting crazy all around, and if her experience with crazy had some validity (and it had) she had already dodged more bullets than anyone should be allowed to. She certainly didn't want to wake up thinking herself queen or England or professional dancer, so maybe if she made her best rendition of a non-entity she would manage to keep out of trouble.

What? A girl could dream.

Wellspring Arms & Meditation Center is open, albeit pretty damn quiet.

Jack barely left the house over the weekend: He had extremely glamorous term papers to catch up on. To go by radio, though, he was grateful to have had this one pass him by. Bad enough to get used to being a werewolf without something completely new to deal with.

He was also grateful the DJ seemed to have been firmly scared away from the holiday-themed soundtrack. All was (relatively) peaceful as Jack settled into his usual booth, stack of invoices to enter into the system at his side and chat window with Queen Sophie-Anne's assistant open on his laptop screen. Whatever Eric had sent in, apparently it had been very impressive.

[OOC: I will live dangerously too, and skip the OCD.]

It was astonishing how exhausting doing nothing could be. After calling Dinah in a panic on Saturday, Priestly had spent the rest of the weekend hiding in his apartment, watching bad action movies online and eating chips without using his hands. By Sunday night, he felt both wired and useless, and a tiny bit bloated, and had gone to bed to hide under the covers in fear that he'd wake up Monday and still not be able to cook.

When his alarm went off Monday morning, he tried to shut it off with the power of his mind and a well-placed gesture -- and when it kept blaring, woke up with a start and a cheerful whoop and rushed downstairs, barely taking time to throw on some clean clothes.

"Clear the way!" he shouted to the cook. "This is my kitchen!"

Luke's was open, and full of the most complicated, involved foods Priestly could think of.

Jake had not mysteriously gained superpowers over the weekend. Jake also had not lost any particular skills over the weekend, judging by the fact that he woke up on... someone else's lawn, clutching a plastic lawn gremlin to his chest.

And now he was at work. Downing a glass of rum because... because it technically wasn't drinking alone if Tino was there, right? Right?

Cade was back behind the counter, flipping idly through a catalog that had come in the mail.

"Who the kark would buy potato gloves?" he asked the air.

Jarvis, thankfully, remained silent.
