So today Alice could be found disassembling a rifle, quickly stopping a chronometer and then assembling it again. Curse her momentary boredom that made her look for the records of people taking down weapons and putting them back together, even if she wasn't planing to make it public at all she was pretty sure she could beat them. The only thing stopping her from using a blindfold was the weird case someone entered the store while she was at it; that would surely reflect poorly on her customer service skills.

At any rate, the store was open.

Devil's Nest, Monday, 11/26

Having spent the majority of the last several days off the island made coming back to work a surprise. It was like Jack had imagined the mail would have magically answered itself over the last five days.

Strangely enough it hadn't, which meant he was going to be busy all morning sorting out things he normally would have taken care of the week before.

The bar was open and Tiny had hung some mistletoe around it, but Jack wasn't paying much attention to that side of the club today.

It had been awhile since Surreal had come in. Or at least, come in and bothered to unlock the door. Sometimes she'd handwavily been hidden away in the back, working on potions that were hazardous to anyone who might wander in accidentally.

But today the door was unlocked - and even propped open - as Surreal aired out the shop. The curtains were washed and hung over the counter to dry, the welcome mats were outside, hanging over a rail, and Surreal was using her Craft to cheat and gather any dust from the top shelves into a sphere, so it wouldn't fall on her head as she cleaned.

The Magic Box was open, and the manager was in.

Cade was behind the counter with his boots propped up on it, reading a comm that had just come in from Bantha. His uncle might not get in touch very often, but his take on people was always pretty entertaining. Cade was available to actually do his job, too, if anyone needed him to.
