The Park, Tuesday morning

Allie had spent the night walking the paths through the Preserve, determined to know the way around the island as well as she'd known the various ways around the Fringe.

Early morning found her sitting in a shaded part of the park across from MCA watching the flamingos. Instinctively Allie wanted to sleep once the sun rose, but forcing herself to stay awake was another part of Kanin's training that she realized was probably good to keep up with.

It also meant she got to appreciate a sunrise and the early morning quiet which wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Stark Industries, Tuesday, Dec. 4

After powdered sugar snow, tiny sheep, and presents everywhere for the last three days, and randomly de-aged teachers for the four before that, Victor kept waiting for the weirdness to start as he organized things at the shop today.

It wasn't. There wasn't even any unexpected fruit, and JARVIS hadn't had a whole lot to say beyond a greeting.

He settled down in front of his laptop to review some materials for his calculus final -- shut up, math was fun -- and decided a normal day was probably a good thing. Maybe it meant the island was tired.

Caritas- Tuesday

The last few years had been pretty depressing at the holidays for Kitty, so it felt kind of great to actually be excited about it for once. That meant today was decorating day. Tasteful stuff, like garland and lights, and it was totally still tasteful if at least one of the zombies was wearing some garland, because sometimes Kitty got carried away, okay.

Hanna knew there'd be a point during the workday when she'd be bored, so she brought a few fashion magazines with her.

"Ooh, we have that shoe!" she said excitedly as she glanced at one of the pages.

She looked around to share this important news. Maybe the squirrels would listen?

The store was open either way.

The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Evening

It turned out that Max had found a lot of tiny presents yesterday. Many, many of them. The main ones being about ten miniature baseball player figures, each one about half as tall as one of Max's fingers. He was now playing with them on the bar.

"Aren't there only nine players on a team?" Tiny asked.

Max held up the tenth player. "This guy's not a real player, he's just stalking them," he explained. "See how he's got a uniform and everything? You have to admire that kind of dedication, Tiny."

Tiny announced that he had to sweep the back room, and departed.
