The thing about Fandom was that Jessica was no longer completely used to late nights in costume. And, frankly, she stayed out in costume far too late, even after she ended her target practice. So when she walked into Stark's today, she was tired and clutching a large cup of coffee.

Fortunately, it seemed to be a rather slow day, so there wasn't any need to fake awakeness and chipperness for customers. On the other hand, it was a rather slow day so she didn't have anything to keep her awake and chipper.

She eventually solved this issue by balancing her cooled-down coffee cup on her head when nobody was looking. The constant threat of being covered in coffee was enough to keep her alert and her powers made it possible to keep doing this stupid thing for an exceptionally long time.

[OOC: Yes, that's apparently my whole post for today. Shut up, I'm tired too. Open with standard work availability (i.e. none).]

Jeremy had not really gotten hang of his new schedule yet.

This would explain how Jeremy had come to work on the wrong day. The fact that he was yet to realize that, though? That was all down to Jeremy's often distracted brain. And the probable fact that he was going to comepletely fail realizing he'd accidentally switched days, and would keep on coming back on Wednesdays for the foreseeable future? It was best not to talk about it.

Or how long it would take for him to realize he was under new management.

Demon Marcus was open! It would be best not to ask the dapperly dressed boy behind the counter what day it was.

Given the number of books Allie had read since she'd come to the island, it was surprising that it hadn't happened earlier.

She'd found a copy of Dusk.

The blurb on the back of the book had piqued her interest and she'd brought it to the Perk to read while she enjoyed the smell of a cup of coffee.

Of course within a few chapters, enjoyment had turned to a mixture of horror and bafflement.

But she couldn't stop turning the pages.

Derek had successfully survived his first teaching experience today. This called for a celebration. Or, in his case, a beer that did absolutely nothing to get him buzzed.

But it was a good beer, at least.

He was allowed to have his simple pleasures in life. Until they are all burned from him.

And the DJ wasn't even playing obnoxious music! It was a double win day!
