There wasn't much new to do in the shop today, so Victor logged into one of his online classes near the start of his shift and immediately got distracted by all the shiny physics problem sets he could work on.

Even Jarvis was telling him he was a nerd.

It was a completely normal day at the Arms Hotel -- if you ignored the fact that Gunther was hiding in the janitor's closet. He'd told Mary something about not having enough money to pay his bookie. Mary just rolled her eyes and made a note to call Danny later on. He should be able to figure out who Gunther owed money to and how much.

Technically speaking, the store was open -- the lights were on, music was playing, and there was a lithe redhead going through the racks with a clipboard in the crook of one arm. Jane was mostly here to do inventory, though -- now that most of her things were en route to Fandom courtesy of Lydia (and while Jane would never say so, she was a little concerned about the condition of her stuff once it arrived, because...Lydia), she wanted to ensure that she had her store (her store!) figured out and put together just how she'd like.

And she knew, too, that there were a few employees about, though she hadn't met any of them yet, and more importantly, she knew she'd need more. So, affixed to the door was a sign that read:

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT AND HIRING!
Shifts available: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Please inquire within

Jane was optimistic. But then, Jane was always optimistic.

[totes open for possible new hires, current employees, people who need clothes, etc.! I go on SP as of 5ish EST omg.]

After the first two times she'd tried duct taping the drummer's arm back on, Kitty gave up. And scrubbed up to her elbows in the bathroom afterwards, because ew.

Do you know what the sound of one hand drumming was? It was really annoying, that was what it was.

Generally speaking, the DJ was kind to Max. He never played anything too terrible -- at least, not by Max's standards, which were admittedly on the lowish side.

Today he was playing the strangest playlist ever, which as far as Max could tell was just a collection of really sad Sarah McLachlan songs interrupted every so often by Justin Bieber. It was confusing, but the contrast made the Bieber extra catchy, so if anyone caught Max singing "Baby, baby, baby, oh" into a microphone beer bottle, that was why. Not because he liked the kid's music or anything. Shut up.

Back for her first shift after the holidays, Karla wandered about the kitchen, giving the staff gift cards to the Perk and J,GoB as thanks for all their hard work. And then flounced into her office after the head chef thanked her and said that she was still not allowed to practice cooking in the kitchen.

Priestly's staff was the worst.

School had started, work was busy, and secret identities were still miraculously secret. This meant two things. First, that somebody had earned a bit of a reward. Second, that same somebody clearly wasn't in costume enough due to the whole 'no crime in Fandom' issue. Which wasn't a complaint, at least on the 'no crime' side of the equation.

Still, she did need to get out and get in some training every now and then, so Spider-Woman made her way out to the warehouse district, where she was much less likely to accidentally damage anyone's property with her clay pigeon webbing practice. She bought a cheap clay pigeon trap and modified it a little for her purposes (that was the reward) before launching the discs and snagging them with her webs. Or shattering them with her webs. And since she was on a warehouse roof, there was plenty of room for the broken pieces (or missed targets, which then crashed onto the roof and then became broken pieces) to land for easy clean-up... which would probably involve tossing the clay inside the warehouse. It was abandoned, okay? Don't judge.

And this was how Spider-Woman was going to spend her night. The life of a big city superhero in a small town, everyone!

[OOC: Open to anyone who may be around abandoned warehouses on a January night.]
