The Park, Friday Evening

Shortly before sunset, the party was ready to start. The park was decorated with classy black and white decorations, music was playing from hidden speakers, food and drinks were set up, there was a man from the bank with a stack of giant checks….

So apparently there were a couple things that set this apart from the normal Fandom party.

The setting sun was an unsubtle reminder that summer was about to end. And that was what this was all about, really, besides the orphans. One last big party with your friends who would be gone soon, a week before a brand new big party with your incoming friends. This was for you, Fandom, and also the orphans.

It was also probably notable that the guy throwing the party was not there yet. Which just went to show that you could still show up fashionably late even if you were the host, planner, AND decorator.

Luke's, Friday

So. Priestly still didn't have any hair dye, and all his attempts at making his own had resulted in whatever he was using vanishing before it could touch his hair. Either the gremlins had decided they would look really good in blue, or the island was trying to tell him something.

Either way, it seemed he was rocking a whole new style, these days.

The kitchen staff was deeply disappointed. "Where are we going to put the orders and receipts?" the cook asked.

"You know those were't actually supposed to go in my hair, right?"

The expression on the cook's face stated in no uncertain terms that he totally felt they were.

The Preserve, Friday Evening

A jog through the woods with a fluff ball dog at his heels had been the plan for the evening. Had been. But somewhere along the way, Puppy Joe had decided this was too much effort and flopped over to lay down until he was picked up. It was all Stiles' fault.

Okay, that was a lie. We all know everything is Derek's fault. Our bad.

Anyway, now he was stuck carrying a fluffy dog on his way back to the house. And on top of that, he was being followed by a teal deer. And he wasn't even talking. Little did he know, this particular deer had come to the conclusion that it was psychic. Yes, folks. A psychic teal deer.

It might have taken a blow to the head in the last invasion. Let's be real.

All in all, this was shaping up to be a really weird night for Derek.

Tiny was muttering about the organization of the liquor bottles behind the bar as he rearranged things by color. The DJ was playing bubblegum pop and Allie was debating cutting out early to go check out the party in the park.
