The Boards, Wednesday Evening - Auditions!

It seemed like damn near forever since Jonothon had held one of these. That was, yes, in part because the Boards hadn't done anything through the summer. It was also because, with Glacia moving at double Fandom's pace, summer had been a long ordeal that had involve a good portion of winter, too.

Either way, it felt good to finally be holding these again.

The Park- Tuesday morning

Kitty had gone to Caritas this morning to get her administrative stuff done, and also to make sure the bunnies were gone. They were, save for the one that had been sleeping in her desk drawer and had since made himself way too comfortable in her office. So she'd brought him out to the park, figuring that being a wild bunny, he'd hop off.

"You're home," Kitty told him. "Go... hop to your family."

The bunny did no such thing, probably because he didn't understand English. Instead he chewed on some grass, and Kitty found she felt bad just abandoning him, which was why she was going to sit on a bench till he left first.

Trooper Station, Wednesday

The phone rang.

Tamsin released an annoyed sigh. She reached for it and wedged it between her shoulder and her ear. "Please don't tell me this is about lawn gnomes again," she said. "Unless you're about to confess."

She turned off the phone a few minutes later. Of all the stupi--

Did she hear snickering?

She looked up and met Ralph's eyes. "Okay, that's it," she said. "You think you're funny, you go scope out this gnome that's keeping Tiny from leaving his house."

A short pause.

"I mean it," she snapped. "Chop chop. Go! Go!" She waved her paperwork at Ralph's disappearing ass. "Now, or I'm making sure you're working public bathrooms for a week!"

Furnado Animal Shelter, Wednesday

Not half an hour into April's shift today, a harried-looking man in his sixties burst in, exclaiming that his bird was missing and his wife thought it might have been found somewhere and brought here.

When the guy described his bird as an ordinary pigeon with "soulful eyes" and "fluffy little wings," April just shook her head. Sorry, guy.

Caritas, Wednesday

If anyone asked, Jake was totally not at all disappointed to arrive at Caritas to find a distinct lack of bunnies inhabiting the place.

The not-disappointment was soon forgotten in the face of taste-testing the new rum shipment. Sure, only one of the bottles actually came from a new distillery, but Jake had to make sure the rest of the stuff was up to the usual exacting standards his boss demanded, right?

The Devil's Nest, Wednesday Evening

Derek hadn't had time for a proper shaving this past week. This somehow translated into an epic beard in that short a time.

Yeah.

Look, he was a hairy guy. Just be glad you can't see what it looks like when he neglects to shave his chest. ...Okay, that wouldn't be too bad to see, but still. Still.
