Topher was spending today watching Britcoms, because that was what you did when you had no real work and no homework that you could do at work as a substitute for actual work. He was laughing obnoxiously loudly, and there was a good chance that he was annoying the AI who ran the shop.

Actually it was pretty much guaranteed. Oh well.

Gunther was getting the side-eye from Nikolai again today. Apparently Thursday's candy rain had left the chef with ideas, which, so far as Nick could determine, meant that he was trying to find a way to work the excess fallen sweets into the daily specials for as long as the candy lasted.

The moment he watched Gunther dump a heap of Menthos into the soup of the day was about the time Nikolai decided he was going to be heading to Mooby's for lunch. And bringing back extras.

Cecil was sort of relieved to have something to do on the weekend now, so he was humming something he thought was sort of weathery as he opened the shop. He switched the sign to "Open", turned on all the lights, checked the till, and set the pet bed he'd got for Foucault behind the counter.

"Now be careful," he told the now-large-turkey-sized bird. "Don't knock anything over." Foucault honked and settled down. Cecil scritched him on the forehead and settled into unpacking the new arrivals he could and setting aside for Dr. Girlfriend anything marked private.

Dani may have been physically located in her barn on Fandom Island, but her mind was more concerned with racing in Santa Anita. She had figured out how to access a livestream of the Breeder's Cup races. So after hurriedly feeding the horses, she settled down with her laptop to watch the races.

There was nothing Dani loved more than spending a day of the races. Unfortunately, her ban from racing meant that watching streaming coverage online was the closest that she could get to a racetrack these days.

Jessica needed a workout. A Spider-Woman workout. She'd finally found some information that helped her put two and two together and she was the kind of unhappy that required the putting on of a costume and the punching of ne'er-do-wells. Frustratingly, there weren't any petty criminals around here and she didn't have a car to go out and find some.

That was why she took the time to put a sign up by the entrance of Chilly Boulder.

This is not a trap.
She didn't think it was going to work, but working on an art project helped a bit. And maybe, JUST MAYBE, somebody would be dumb enough to commit a crime in Fandom, see the sign, and see what was waiting on the roof. If they did, Spider-Woman would thank them for being stupid by punching their stupid face. In the meantime, she was going to practice the hell out of some katas.
