Fandom Post Office, November 26 (Tuesday)

Half the post office lobby -- specifically the half normally dedicated to the waiting line -- had turned into a ball pit today, and Éponine wasn't asking why. So far today it seemed to keep people amused, and as long as it did they seemed to be much less unpleasant to deal with by the time they got to the counter.

"Good lord," she said at one point to the waiting customers, "play all you want, I don't care, just see that you don't break anything, and don't stay past five o'clock, for goodness's sake, since that's when we close, and I'll have you tossed out if you try, see if I don't."

If they didn't leave at closing time, she was never going to get her chance to play in the ball pit. It was a serious concern.

While Kitty had some nerves over meeting people this week, she was actually really excited about the holidays. This should explain her good mood at the bar tonight, and Tino, who seemed to be having a bad day, kept threatening to go do inventory to get away from her. Personally Kitty didn't see how him doing work was a punishment for her, but whatever.
