Maddie was a little disappointed to wake up without any powers today. Okay, a lot disappointed. Even though she'd known better. She probably shouldn't have thought anything like "Maybe if I keep this I can still be an Avenger," but she did, and so today wasn't great.

Besides, scaling building walls had been way too much fun despite the cold. She'd basically been Spider-Man, okay.

She was working some. She was just moping at the same time.

Stark Industries [afternoon]

Cade finally remembered that he had a job and wandered into Stark to a huge stack of old, broken iPods.

Apparently people had gotten new ones over the holidays.

He got out his multitool and began repairing them--making sure to mock all of their taste in music as he got the machines to show him their contents.

The zombies were looking nostalgic. And there were still snatches of bodiless conversation happening. But no more music. At least at the moment.

Jack was scowling harder than usual at his paperwork today, leaving Tiny to mind the bar. Tax season was hell if you happened to work in an interdimensional nexus.

The DJ seemed at least somewhat sympathetic, if his playlist of songs about cash was anything to go by.
