Ordinarily, Rosalind would have been more concerned about seeing things that, she believed, weren't supposed to be around.

Except that it was easy to blame such abnormal situations on the island and be correct for doing so. Which meant that, when she spotted, and then kept spotting, a vaguely familiar looking white kitten chasing after dust bunnies, on and off throughout the day, Rosalind simply sighed, and tried to keep an eye on it.

It was more difficult than it should have been, since the kitten wasn't always there.

The shop was open and there was a sign outside that said:

Now hiring! Apply inside!

Jono didn't actually have the stereo on today. In fact, he kept glancing over to see if maybe he'd flicked it on without meaning to, since the shop seemed to be playing one of the old playlists he used to listen to frequently while he was still in high school.

Really, he wasn't complaining. If the island wanted to make his job easier, why would he? He'd probably be trying to put this playlist together again eventually anyway.

There was a Now Hiring! sign in the window, and a lot of 90s post-grunge playing just a little too loudly inside.

The Groovy Tunes was open. And loud.

Fast Eddie's seemed quiet tonight so far. About the only sign of student activity Alana spotted when she walked in were some
crepe paper and balloons from a long-ago birthday party, but those faded away before she could look back.

She ignored the pool tables but eyed the assorted beeping and booping games in the arcade, decided which of them she wanted to play, then made a beeline to the money-changing machine. She had no problem paying her own way on date-type things when she planned to kick the guy's ass -- which, in this case, she did.

(Sorry, Raleigh.)

"Want to pick what we do first?"

[OOC: Alana's there for Raleigh but the arcade is open.]
