There was a puppy in the shelter that had decided that enough was enough in regards to the cold outside, and was refusing to take a walk. April could sympathize. Even as a Midwesterner, she was sick and tired of this bull-crap weather.

That was why she had a plan. The plan involved a sign that she put in the window.

HEY! TEACHERS!
TAKE ME ON YOUR SPRING BREAK TRIP, GET A FREE PUPPY.

All shelter puppies were free, but April didn't have to tell them that.

Victor came into the repair shop this morning to find a suspicious number of broken antique clocks on the workbench, and a carpet of kiwi fruit covering the floor.

The clocks vanished after half an hour. The kiwis seemed determined to stick around.

Sushi Station, Wednesday Evening

After he closed up at the shop, Victor ran back to the dorms to get ready for his date with Isabelle. This involved putting extra gel in his hair in a (mostly failed) attempt to get it to stop doing the stupid thing it was currently doing and -- because Isabelle seemed classy that way -- changing into a shirt with buttons and an actual collar.

And now he was rocking back and forth on his heels as he waited in front of the sushi place. Raw fish wasn't normally his first pick, but it seemed like a good night to try new-ish things.

Eleanor was distracted today at work. Every disc she pulled at random seemed more grating than the last. Perhaps she was in the wrong sort of mood.

She finally decided to stop exploring new artists entirely and dug out some of Aunt Gracie's classics. Those, at least, made her feel better.

Groovy Tunes was open.

So, the polar bears were still in Freezer-Land. They had now been joined by something smelly and loud, that clip-clopped across the freezer wastes.

"You would make an awesome steak," Kenzi told one of them as it went by, bellowing.

There were a weird number of kiwis in the kitchen when she got back.

Mike, Apu, and the Cheese Panda clustered around an open crate. Mike gave Apu a long, hard look. "Now, what are we supposed to do with these?" he grumbled. The crate was supposed to contain fruit. Instead, there were animals. "That is one hell of a mix-up." Someone at the wholesaler was going to have a LOT of explaining to do.

Mike sighed, and made up a sign for the front window.
