Dite's Decadent Delights, Friday

Sparkle was finally feeling back up for going in to work at Dite's. He had everything he needed in order to get through his shift, which mostly just involved a feather boa and the giant, tailless metal rooster.

He'd get the rooster fixed, one of these days. Probably. Maybe. Meh.

There was a new shipment of vibrators in today, and Sparkle was going through them and sorting them out onto the shelves. One sampler for each model (for testing against the wrist, obviously) and then the rest in a locked cupboard. Some of them were actually pretty neat looking. There was a butterfly one, and that one was shaped like a caterpillar...

By the end of his shift, Sparkle felt a little more like he was working in a zoo than a sex shop, but at least the toys were restocked.

Stiles' sleeping habits hadn't improved any since the last time he had been here. In fact, they had only gotten worse. The no reading thing was happening more often as well and during one of the few times he could do it he found out some worrisome things. Like how you couldn't read in dreams.

So now that he was sitting there at work he was staring at the jumbled mess of words on his computer screen wondering if he was actually at work at all.

Book Haven, Friday

Liara had debated coming in to work today. She did not feel entirely well, and she was somewhat worried that asari illnesses may have worse effects on humans. But when she'd woken up that morning, she had actually felt better and more energized, and so she had cautiously gone to the shop again at last.

Only to immediately tip over a display upon entry.

Most of the rest of the day was spent reassembling the elaborate thing and fretting constantly about getting it wrong.

The kitchen staff looked rather disappointed by Eliot's lack of awe at the giant magical freezer. They were a bit more impressed by his critique of the cook's knife technique.

"You're making mirepoix, not holding off the Yakuza."

This quickly developed into Eliot giving a mini-seminar on the best kitchen utensils to use against various invading forces.

It was super cute how Eliot thought "zombie viking bears" was hyperbole.

Mike had been working a whole bunch since the latest bit of total island insanity had ended. Like, a whole bunch. Of mostly odd jobs around the mainland. And he hadn't had a lot of time to actually take stock of what his earnings were like.

So if it looked like he was kind of doing some bookkeeping while manning the bar, that was just because he was.

Tino did not offer to help with anything.

Allie wasn't around this week, so Eric made sure that Tiny was serving drinks (because ahahaha, no, Eric didn't serve humans, thanks) before heading to his normal location in the VIP section with a bloody Mary, heavy on the bloody.
