This ferrying business was rather annoying, really. Celia had been leaning over the rail to watch the water as she'd come over to the island for work today and had managed to get splashed rather thoroughly.

Her walk into work was spent magically drawing water out of her skirt and hair and depositing it in puddles along the way, and by the time she was actually at the shop, she was in the mood to curl up with a book behind the counter and spend the day quietly.

Which was exactly what she did.

[open shop, no OCD, SP while I'm at work!]

Irene had pretty much collapsed into the bed she'd found in the apartment Sherlock had so thoughtfully leased in her name, when she'd arrived last night. This morning had been spent perusing the closet (immaculate, designer, perfectly-tailored everything -- naturally) and with a shower and some makeup, she actually felt almost human again.

The afternoon, then, was to be spent in the shop she was to take over. Irene cast a critical glance at the storefront before letting herself in, and took a while to go over all of the merchandise carefully. Not all of it was to her taste, of course, but that was to be expected -- it was, after all, an island that mainly catered to teenagers.

She placed a neatly penned Help wanted - inquire within sign in the window, then set to work inventorying. She needed to know what she was working with in order to expand, so to speak.

[open shop is open, though we are without OCD!]

When Kitty got to work today, she saw the "BUY OUR CD INSIDE" signs posted to the walls outside, and since it looked like it was written in Sharpie, she was going to assume Tino helped the zombies with this one.

Once again there was a table in front of the stage piled high with CD's, and apparently the zombies were there to push some product today. Or, you know, to stand there and moan something because they weren't very good salesmen.

You wouldn't want to disappoint the zombies, would you?

Well, this was an interesting turn of events with everyone at the school being (almost literally) shipped off island for the time being -- almost as quiet as it was when they were gone on one of their trips, Éponine thought, but not exactly.

And no, while the temptation to sneak up to the school and go poking around the dorms out of curiosity was extremely strong, she hadn't succumbed to it yet.

Which did not mean she wasn't constantly entertaining the notion. The other prospect she kept contemplating today was figuring out who'd come up with the idea to mail out free, unsolicited sample bricks to what seemed like half the residents in town and giving that person a piece of her mind.

Poking around the dorms was arguably a more prudent option.

For an extremely shaky definition of prudent.

[OOC: Too busy for OCD today, woe. Feel free to mod receiving a random sample brick in the mail if you want. IDK.]

Vic was not amused this morning when she came in to find that Ralph had glued her coffee cup to her desk.

Ralph was going to be walking funny for a week.

"Anyone else want to fuck with my stuff?" she asked the rest of the troopers with a nice mix of sweetness and menace.

Safe to say the rest of the troopers weren't going to mess with her desk from now on.

Tuesdays seemed to be the day that Hatter ventured out to the park. Sure, he could have gone into work again but one day a week was enough for right now. The restaurant still ran itself without him though they were missing the very best part (in Hatter's opinion, of course). It was their loss and the park's gain.

Everything seemed a little quieter what with the students apparently moved to another island. Going from having a constantly packed tea shop to a restaurant that was quiet enough to hear a pin drop at times took some getting used to but Hatter was a man who could adapt. And when he thought the silence would get to be too much, he just left and went out to find his own fun.

The flamingos in the park were ignoring him today. Hatter had directed a few choice words towards them but nothing else. He had something else to occupy his time. There was a mug of tea beside him on the bench because one never went anywhere without tea. And if he'd put a nip of something special in it, could anyone really blame him?

He'd also brought along a newspaper just to try and catch up on this world's current events but he was getting bored with that quick. Hatter had disliked the queen and her entire monarchy but at least she hadn't been boring. Everything here was just talking and non-action. Hatter made loud gagging sounds and slouched on the bench.

Wonderland was being severely missed right now.
