The Community Center was decorated in Fandom's signature blue and gold, with streamers and flags and the odd Fighting Gremlin banner. There was a tasteful amount of glitter among the decorations, assuming that person in charge of taste was a four year old hyped up on candy and Red Bull while huffing glue made from unicorns.

In short, Fandom's alumni, ex-pats, and current teachers should feel right at home, nostalgia hitting them right in the sinuses.

You're welcome, Fandom alumni. Don't forget to donate to the Alumni Association!

In one place, the invitation had said listed the dresscode as 'casual-formalwear.' In another, it was 'formal-casualwear.' Whatever that meant for clothing, it included a DJ, armed with only his collection of 'Easy Listening', and an open bar, but the food was served buffet style, with everyone helping themselves.

Hoped you still liked 'Kiss from a Rose' after the sixth playing tonight, folks!

[Open to all alumni of the school, including those who still live in town, ex-pats, and teachers/faculty of the school. If you need a reason to show up to the island in time for Noir Weekend, here it is. Even if you don't need a reason--here it is anyway! OCD up, have fun!]

Elphaba had been keeping to herself more than usual, lately. Perhaps it had been the absolute weirdness of the sudden morning party (though that had been ages ago). Perhaps it was just still just taking her time to adjust from being a rebel to a simple store clerk. Perhaps she just wasn't sure she fit in here as much as her memories had believed her.

But today, she was happy to go through the CDs and relabel the prices on ones that were dropping in price. Apparently no one wanted the Drive Shaft Memorial Tribute Album. Nor the Spinal Tap Folks Itself. There was a whole list she had to do, and she always enjoyed flipping through to see all the various covers.

Today's music was loud, but she had to like a band that believed in veganism, no harm to animals, and fighting the powers that be.

[ooc: I didn't almost forget it was Friday, I swear.]

Now that she was no longer a puppy, Allie was back at work at the Devil's Nest. Tonight that meant watching Tiny build a tower out of shot glasses while the DJ ran through the greatest hits of the 80s.

[OCD free!]

Mary could tolerate heat, but heat and humidity together were another thing entirely. Maybe that's why she was taking "Casual Friday" to the extreme by pairing a strapless bustier with teeny tiny shorts. It was days like this that she regretted never putting in a swimming pool. For now, she was trying to stay cool by gulping down ice water and throwing ice cubes at Gunther whenever she caught him staring at her chest.

No beach party this week. But, no unprofessionally tipsy Mike, either. So, everything at Caritas was pretty much back to normal. Normal for Caritas, anyway, which meant that Tino was sulking about something or other, and the zombie band was still trying to move t-shirts and CDs.

Mike was not going to argue with them. At least, not about anything other than his continued decision to not buy anything from them. He just didn't have need for a zombie band shirt, guys. He just didn't.

But he might try to sell them to whoever came by tonight. He hadn't given his salesman skills a good workout lately.

[ooc: open, no ocd!]
