The restaurant was already bustling when Hatter eventually made his way down. He'd spent most of the night trying to figure out if there was any way to get the Looking Glass to actually reappear so he could at least hop between the island and Wonderland. He didn't even need Alice (though a part of his heart said that wasn't true), he just wanted to be able to get back home. It hadn't worked so he was a little bleary and irritable when he came in this morning. He ignored most of the staff and got to work behind the counter with a specially made tea for himself.

Once Hatter's tea was made (and no, it wasn't on the menu), he took a seat in his chair and grumpily muttered about everything from the temperature outside to the temperature inside to the name of his restaurant. He'd get over himself soon.

For the first time in a while, Clint and Kitty were having a nice, quiet start to the week, with no threatening messages or running around in a foreign country trying not to get ninjaed to death. Going out to dinner together wasn't as much about celebrating that fact as it was about simply enjoying it.

"Why do all the good things on the menu have like, four peppers next to them?" he asked as they looked over the menus. "I just want to eat something good without burning my face off."
