Impromptu Beach Party, The Beach, Around Sunset Friday

So Eleanor and Celia were on complicated terms at the moment. It wasn't bad, they weren't exactly fighting, but neither of them were budging, which was casting a serious pall over an already long week.

This was exactly the sort of moment that called for the beach party they had been meaning to throw all bloody summer. Obviously, what they needed to do was stop planning and just throw it. Tell a few friends, ask them to tell a few friends, and get the message out that way.

Holding it spur of the moment made it a very simplified party -- no themes, no decorations, no posters tacked up around town. But they did have the essentials: food, music, and a large bonfire.

Really, what else did you need?

Tiny was cleaning glasses behind the bar while the DJ was playing through movie soundtracks. Some of them were intriguing enough to send Allie to her phone to look up the movie. It was a good thing she had a decent data plan.

Caritas, Friday Evening

Things were pretty normal at Caritas tonight. Tino was scowly, the zombie band were not only wearing t-shirts advertising their own band but also had a banner hanging above them with the same purpose (albeit lopsidedly, so it probably wouldn't last even the evening), and Mike was in a good mood.

He'd also sell students alcohol, but he felt like it was a good idea to ease them into the idea. Or something. Or maybe they just had some extra soda stock since most people went for the stronger stuff.
