Every good boy deserved fudge, was that how the music scale went? And every bad Leland deserved a day off, though he was generally enjoying himself too much to need many.

That didn't mean he enjoyed being roused from a rare moment of leisure in order to answer a frantic barrage of knocking. Ugh. Some of these customers needed to succumb to poison much, much more quickly, because they were starting to annoy him.

NEEDFUL THINGS
A CLOSED KIND OF STORE

Hurry This Up Already, Customers

(Expecting one, but anyone else is welcome to pop in and nag Leland! That he opened the store when someone knocked is fine to broadcast, but the identity of his visitor is NFB.)

Mike still had his beard and his mustache, because no one had convinced him to give them up yet, and he was actually starting to get a little used to them.

But that wasn't really what was on his mind tonight. He'd been listening to the radio, and while he hadn't been paying a ton of attention to the island over the last week or so, even he still had an uneasy feeling about the way the wildlife and nature on the island seemed to be acting. Maybe it was nothing. Maybe it was something.

He was trying to stay optimistic. At least the island didn't seem to be invaded this week?

Raven was spending a nice quiet evening out on the town. The dorms were nice and all, but sometimes you just wanted to get a change of scenery, even if all you were doing was sitting around drinking coffee and reading a book.

And eating donuts. She'd gotten another two-for-one deal. Apparently the staff was trying out their version of the cronut and wanted her opinion.

It was okay. A little weird. Honestly, she'd rather just eat a donut or a croissant. She was about to tell them so when a goat came barreling in through the front doors, letting out an odd little two-syllable war-cry bleat that sounded suspiciously like "cooooocaaaaaaaaaine!", stole her second donut, and ran back out.

Raven sat in her seat, her feet pulled up defensively, her book clutched to her chest, and stared after it.

The staff behind the counter all seemed to agree that this was a very good sign for the success of their knock-off cronut.

[ooc: Because I'm easily enabled, and LJ has been cranky today. Can be open for goat aftermath if someone wants.]
