Hardison was glued to his laptop today. Which was nothing unusual in and of itself, but normally he was a lot more relaxed about it. Today he was almost manic about it; checking and rechecking data, refreshing windows, pulling up information about airlines and ship manifests and global maps. The staff tried to ask him for his input on what they should make, his only response was a brusque, "Man, like I know. Somethin' with apples, leave me alone!"

So, yeah. Apples it was. Maybe they'd start to make a dent in the mountain the busboy had brought back.

Today's Specials

Edward felt productive today.

This seemingly positive notion had turned into a quandary fairly quickly, however, for there was little work, and even his mail run had ended early that morning.

So now he was scribbling away on a sheet of paper, practicing his handwriting. He wasn't certain what to do with himself otherwise.

It's not that Allie had been purposely avoiding people the last few weeks. She just hadn't felt like being particularly social after hearing about what had happened to Kitty. But even a vaguely introverted vampire could only spend so long lurking with the teal deer in the preserve. Tonight that meant Allie was in the Perk, headphones over her ears as she watched a lecture on her phone and occasionally took a long inhale of the scent of steaming cup of coffee on her table.

Today didn't start out nuts. Jessica brought in her new shock-web gloves that she finished developing on Tuesday and told a couple troopers what they were. This led to a lecture about how her webbing was liquid-based and conducted electricity very easily. That somehow started the downward spiral into where the entire station was now.

Three targets were set up across the station house. One would power a circuit to a lightbulb. The next would power an alarm. The third was Ralph, who insisted that he wanted to know if it would taze him through his armor.

A minute later, the lightbulb was on, the alarm was ringing, and Ralph was demanding that somebody give him Christmas lights to hold.

Weird day.
