Mr. Bubbles wasn't feeling well!

This was a deeply tragic and concerning thing, so when Alluka got to work, she immediately flicked on the lights and located a couple of boas to wrap around Mr. Bubbles. They were even better than blankets, when it came to toys being sick, after all.

Then she found herself a tiara, perched it on her head, and settled in to read Mr. Bubbles princess stories for the day.

And if half the princesses she talked about today happened to look like Mr. Bubbles while the other half looked like her… well… that was the way the stories went.

Really and truly! Honest!

"Stop messin' with my specials board, man!"

Unsurprisingly to anyone who'd seen the two of them interact before, Eliot and the busboy were Having Words.

"You have to be more specific!"

"I don't have to do anything! That's what the dish is called!"

"But people will get confused!" the busboy insisted. "Then they'll yell at the waitstaff and throw things!" He lowered his voice. "People take their potatoes extremely seriously."

Eliot sighed. "Anyone throws anything at my staff and I'll drag their asses out of here by their hair."

The busboy's lower lip wobbled, and before Eliot could figure out why, he was being very firmly hugged. "You do love us," the busboy sniffed.

Mushy peas
Bread pudding

"If you don't let go of me, I'm going to drag you out of here by your hair," Eliot said.

"Mmhm," the busboy said happily. And continued to hug him.
