Everything for the Trooper Station jail cell revamp project was done except the installation, so today found Jessica packing everything up for transport. It was pretty nice to have everything finally done with the project she had been poking around at for months, and she had some ideas for her next projects already. First up was that mask upgrade. Then a list of possibilities.

But for now, 'project' equalled 'putting things in boxes.'

In less than 20 days, Kitty was going to be a married woman. That part wasn't what freaked her out, it was just that it still seemed like there was so much to do and the deadline to get it all done was so close.

So the bar had been taken over by all things wedding while Kitty texted people to finalize this thing or that thing, and Tino tried to stay clear in case he ended up being wrangled into making table numbers or whatever.

Someone had mailed a box of sand. Éponine knew what it was, because the box was clear and plastic and had postage and address labels taped directly to its exterior. She wasn't sure if there was anything in the box of sand, which hadn't stopped her from picking it up and shaking it a few times to check.

It was to be picked up by the recipient (whose name was annoyingly smudged out on the address label, but everything else was perfectly legible) here at the post office, which she wasn't complaining about. She didn't particularly care to go lugging a box of sand around the island, but in the meantime it was just sitting there, in the corner, all . . . sand-filled and mysterious and getting constant dubious glances from Éponine, who was busy sorting through all the mail marked "Return to Sender."

"Whoever you belong to had better pick you up soon," she muttered, and gave it one more glare before she started separating out the mail that had gone to the wrong dimension from the mail that had gone to the wrong part of the timeline.
