The advantage of wearing close-fitting leathers the majority of the time was that it was remarkably difficult for ones clothes to blow away in the wind.

Unfortunately for, well, pretty much everyone at Caritas, Tino was not wearing equally clingy clothing. In every sense of the word.

The Abandoned Warehouse District, Friday morning

Dani headed out on Smudge to put up fliers this morning. She was still upset over losing her favorite riding boots yesterday (how in the world could the wind have ripped them off her feet yesterday?). Hopefully, the generous cash reward she was offering for her lost boots would encourage anyone who found them to return them.

At least it wasn't so windy. Sure, the rain put a damper on things, but Dani and Smudge could handle rain. But when they reached their first stop and Dani dismounted to put up her fliers, the rain got heavier changed to detergent. "Just when I thought this place couldn't get any weirder," Dani said, hoping that the tape she was using would still work in the damp conditions.

But apparently the scent of fabric softener was just too much for Smudge, who snorted and took off in the direction of The Gig. So Dani was left out in the rain and detergent, hanging onto her soggy fliers and wishing she had just stayed home.

A decidedly grumpy Allie was behind the bar tonight.

The good news was, at least she smelled April fresh.
