Rirhath B had been... nice. But not quite nice enough. Not for an island which was beginning to get the idea that home really was where the heart was; it just wanted to vacation a little bit longer before it got back to the daily slog of Maryland.
When it popped neatly out of existence on Friday morning, it immediately repopped into existence somewhere much, much fancier. It found a sizable pond - a lake, really - in a park somewhere in the middle of New Cardiff and rooted itself there, the Causeway coming down and connecting with a busy road not far off. Down the street you would find a bustling district of the city: shops, cafés and restaurants all open and ready to serve distinguished clientele. If you wanted it a little grimier, you might have to walk a little further, through the park and towards the other end.
But it was nice. A friendly sun was shining, and the skies were blue - at least, between the various moving airvehicles that kept passing by.
