The Park, Tuesday Morning

After a second and decidedly more private funeral in the Arctic, Tony was back on island. This time there wasn't any music to distract him, which wasn't nearly as fun. But hey, thems the breaks.

He took a seat on one of the park benches, watching the birds eye him with disdain over his lack of bread. Still oddly preferable to going back to the lab for the moment. He just needed to breathe fresh air and he could back at it. Sure.

Fandom Post Office, August 16 (Tuesday)

Éponine kept dozing off today, which would in fact be directly related to the fact that she'd discovered a new book series yesterday and just had to read the entire thing in one go. Luckily it seemed to be a fairly slow day for customers coming into the post office itself -- at least, it seemed like one so far and she was hoping it would stay that way.

Maybe she'd brought this on herself by making a cavalier claim to someone along her route yesterday that she knew the job well enough by now to do it in her sleep? Well, that had been silly of her, since now she had to put that claim to the test.

She kept dreaming about running a farm every time she drifted off, though.

Covent Garden Flowers, Tuesday

Another day, another bouquet of flowers. Peter was doing a bit better at it, he thought, though he really hoped nobody asked for anything too specific.

When he wasn't arranging things, he was trying to set up the computer he'd bought. They'd changed a bit in nearly two decades, apparently.

He recalled a sign he'd seen in the back, and put it in the window, after adding a bit of text. It now read: Help Wanted (computer or floral experience a plus).

Caritas- Tuesday

The Olympics were still on at Caritas, and Kitty was bored enough between commercials to have arranged shot glasses on the bar in the shape of the Olympic rings.

If she saw that "Everything is Awesome" commercial again she might snap.

Stark Industries, Tuesday

Jessica settled in and had just started reviewing some specs to increase the output of her shock gloves - knocking out whatever was possessing a god for a second was cool and all, but she wanted to be able to actually STUN a possessed god in the future - when a delivery person stopped in.

The delivery was from J,GoB. It was a cupcake, along with a note reading "Good job surviving!" This was all a fairly deep cut reference. But when some version of yourself sends you a cupcake, you are honor-bound to eat it. The specs could wait a few minutes.
