When Sparkle came in today, he was relieved to find that the clothing was all in its place, and it was what it was actually meant to be, at that. That was an exciting step forward, compared to weeks previous already, and he gave a little grin as he set to work, doing a little bit of tidying, clearing some room behind the counter for the large box that he'd hauled in with him today.

Then he wrote a note and stuck it to the top of that box:

Hey, Ada, you mentioned these things in class, so I figured I'd give you the option of running one here, too, if it'll help keep you comfortable. Let me know if there's anything else I can do. Or if you want me to just shut up and keep the liquor cabinet stocked instead.

It was going on spring, and spring was generally wet, and if bringing a dehumidifier for the comfort of at least half of his employees would do some good here, then dammit, he was gonna.

Luke's, Sunday

Kanan came into Luke's an hour late today, having never been told about daylight savings, braced for pancake disaster.

There was nothing. No pancakes, no waffles. No crepes. Or, at least, no more than was usual for a diner on a Sunday morning. The cook dished out a plate of bacon, eggs, and toast for a customer. Kanan stood and watched the goings-on in the kitchen for a moment in silent bemusement before getting to work.

Today's Specials:
All-day brunch!
Because who even knows what time it is right now anyway, right?

"I'm missing something here," Kanan muttered as he wiped down a counter. "I have to be."

The Boards, Sunday Afternoon

Alright, Jono was here. Jono was totally not freaking out in the least. Jono had set up a few mics and patch cables onstage in case anybody showed up and wanted to jam, and...

... Yes, he had brought beer, just in case it turned out he was going to have to bribe people into playing anyway. But that was a last resort thing. Or else a 'yay, we have a band now, I'm not even a teacher this semester so I can be a terrible influence and let minors celebrate this fact with a drink because we all know you're going to do so anyway at Caritas if you want to' thing.

The posters were still up around town advertising band tryouts or whatever today, and he'd changed up the marquee today to read:

All skill levels and musical styles welcome!

He even hauled over a few extra instruments from Groovy Tunes, in case people didn't want to drag over, say, a drum set or a keyboard or half a million amplifiers for their electric guitars or anything like that. He was thoughtful that way.

She still hadn't really figured out if she wanted to learn an instrument or not—they all seemed kind of intimidating and Alluka still wasn't all that brave—but today it didn't matter, since she came in, chattered at the stereo brightly for a bit, and then settled in to answer Mabel's latest letter.

It went without saying that Alluka had a pile of stickers that she was going to have to go through to figure out which best suited her response to Mabel. Or even just which the prettiest ones were. Mabel would appreciate that too, even if they didn't make a lot of sense with whatever she said.

The stereo busied itself with playing instrumental music. She was pretty sure it was classical but, really, Alluka didn't work here for her knowledge of music, so she didn't know.
