Sparkle was trying something different today. Not, like, with work, where he was actually hard at work putting out stock and placing orders and sorting out pay for the employees and...

Like, he was busy, okay. And he had signs in the window, one stating that he was now hiring, and one saying that clothes were half-off for newcomers to the island, because he was sure that at least one or two of the newbies probably had no idea what the local style was all about.

... Which was fair. On Fandom Island, the local style was whatever the hell the locals felt like wearing at the time.

Which brought this all right back around to what Sparkle was doing different, today. He'd left off his make-up. Left his hair down. Was actually looking almost like a respectable member of society, if someone didn't know any better. He'd been feeling like maybe he needed a change of pace, and barring the ability to actually go anywhere to do much about it, figured maybe he'd start with his whole... him.

He just kept having to pause and do double-takes when he caught sight of himself in a mirror. Huh.

Weird.

[OOC: Open! Flying without OCD today because pffff. Who needs that stuff?]

Another week, another Sunday spent in the diner. Kanan had braced himself for too-many-damn-pancakes coming in this morning, and had been pleasantly surprised to see that the pancake count when he arrived for his shift was a sane amount, and that the cook was back to making them fresh to order.

When Kanan asked why there weren't stacks of the damn things piled up to the ceiling, the cook just shrugged, reached for his container of batter mix, and then raised an eyebrow as the busboy yelped and ran to hide behind one of the booths in the dining area, babbling about being buried alive.

Huh. Trauma worked. Good to know.

Kanan, secure in his ability to walk through the kitchen without having to keep an eye out for falling pancakes, made his way over to grab an apple or something to eat for breakfast...

... and just barely managed to dive out of the way in time as the cook opened the fridge and a sweeping tidal wave of kiwi fruit poured out.

So, that was what today's special was, apparently. Anything and everything, just so long as it came with a side of weird, brown, furry fruit.

[OOC: Continuing my no OCD trend because I FEEL LIKE IT THAT'S WHY.]

So, Jono hadn't opened the Boards in a while. The last few weekends had involved unexpected children, giant rabbits and the like, and none of those things were necessarily conducive to being a functional guy-who-owned-businesses, really.

But today? Today he was going to make up for that. Sort of.

If by 'make up for that,' one meant that he was sitting in the lobby, alternating between playing his bass guitar and poking through scripts. Again. Because someday he swore he was going to audition people for a show, or put on a successful showcase, or put together a band that lasted for more than a month before the lead triangle graduated and left the island...

... Okay, losing the lead triangle hadn't been so great a loss. And if any of the band decided to show up today to play, then all the better. And if anybody new happened to stop in and they knew how to play, he'd be thrilled about that, too.

He had no bloody clue what he was doing with life in general, these days. Might as well just keep going with the flow.

Wow! It had been a while since she'd been here!

At least, she thought it had been a while, but her sense of time was still pretty bad, so who knew how long it had been, really. The stereo remembered her, which made her happy, especially when it warbled a delighted pop music greeting at her.

Most of her shift was spent inspecting the inventory, since she had forgotten most of it.

Alluka was, clearly, the best employee.
