Sparkle was in a dancing mood today. Why? No particular reason. The semester was over and he was freeee, but that didn't really factor into it all that much, either.

Mostly, he was just feelin' it. And one of the mannequins clad in rompers was going to be his dance partner unless somebody came along to relieve the poor thing of that particular duty.

Such was life at the Demon Marcus.

"I just really want some kind of cake with too much fruit on it," Kanan announced as he stepped into Luke's for his shift today. "You do that for me, you can do any weird thing with pancakes that you want.

And that was how Kanan got almost an entire strawberry cream cake to himself.

And why the rest of the staff spent the day attempting to perfect their plate spinning routine using pancakes.

"Don't talk to me."

It had been the fifth time this hour alone that Atton'd said that to Tino. He was gonna keep saying it, too.

It'd started as an experiment: see if Tino left him alone if he mentioned having a stomach bug. It had quickly turned into a battle of wits.

And so now Atton was laying on his back on the bar, growling, "Don't talk to me," to Tino. Again. For the sixth time. That hour.

The Boards, Sunday

They were going on vacation this evening, and Jono was...well, getting ready, more or less, so Hannibal had promised him to get things ready for rehearsal until he arrived.

So, there was very good beer here today, along with homemade sausages and an assortment of cheese and crackers for snacks.

There was still a sign outside reading, Band rehearsals! Come and join us! Open mic!

The Boards was open for band rehearsal or anyone who wanted to grab the microphone.

Streets of Fandom, Sunday Morning

It was early in the morning, at least for a Sunday.

And Octavia was out, roaming the streets. Or at least walking around, eyeing everything with the kind of wary looks that you gave things when you weren't quite sure you could trust any of it. Or believe it, even. None of this was what she was used to.

And maybe she looked it, in her warrior gear.

She stopped at a shop window at random. The place was closed right now, but there was a window display full of merchandise, and it looked so foreign and alien to her. Not the things themselves – although comic books and collectible figurines also weren't really within the scope of Octavia's life experience – but the way they were being displayed so proudly behind a glass for seemingly no reason.

Look, she understood what shops were. She just wasn't used to them.

So she was frowning at the window of a comic book store. That was not weird at all.
