myownface: The rainbow Pride flag (Pride)
[personal profile] myownface
Yesterday's rainbow was still going strong, the weather was still beautiful, and the flowers that had sprouted up for yesterday were still in full bloom, all reaching up toward that rainbow the way most flowers reached for the sun.

In the park, a veritable miniature carnival had sprung up, with a ball pit (stocked with balls in all colours of the rainbow, of course) and giant inflatable kraken slide for all to enjoy. There was also a stage for any entertainers who might want a spotlight this afternoon, and there were several booths, in case people wanted to set up to hand out informational pamphlets (in the spirit of Pride, naturally), or set up a kissing booth for charity or any such thing they pleased.

Plus, food. Of course food. It would be a pretty sad picnic without that.

And so, the park was geared up for a party. Come one, come all!

The shop was full of rainbows today. Rainbow bunting hanging from the ceiling, prisms making rainbows of light on the floor, giant paper mache rainbows sprucing up the window display. Even the little business card holder next to the register was full of rainbow-colored mint candies.

Anders wasn't sure whether someone had gotten enthusiastic about decorating for Fandom Pride, or whether the island had just sent him the decorations in a happy accident. Either way, who was he to complain about a little extra color? He tied a rainbow ribbon around his ponytail and went about his day.

[OOC: Open shop, open post.]

Everything was rainbows.

Kanan knew there was a reason for that. Hell, he appreciated the reason for it. But it meant that he was being faced with a wealth of food he was only beginning to become familiar with, now with an added layer of confusing hues for good measure.

Well. For the most part.

"Good to know it doesn't matter what colors you add to a pancake, it still looks like a pancake."

Luke's was open. And they had rainbow pancakes, apparently.

[OOC: Open! OCD-free!]
