The store was successfully cleaned-out and boarded-up so that renovations could begin, so Ada was spending today stretched-out on the lawn chaise Sparkle had provided, basking in what sunshine peeked out from behind the clouds. She had the big umbrella ready, just in case the rain started, but she wanted to work on her tan, dammit.

The sidewalk sale was set up, and she did have her cash box tucked under the chair, so she'd actually work if people showed up. But for now? She was going to be totally lazy and stretch out like a cat in a sunbeam.

The Demon Marcus Sidewalk Sale was open, and Ada was in!

Pick Your Poison, Thursday

This was Lucille's last day working in the shop, and she made sure it would be left tidy, in case she needed to come back and work again. It was a pleasant place, now more than ever since it was one of the lucky places that had escaped the sharks, and thus didn't smell of fish.

Lucille had considered bribing the squirrels so that she could search for actual poisons -- Ino hadn't been completely clear on the subject -- but decided against it. Again, she might need work again.

Like Lucille the day before her, Octavia also wasn't expecting to see any customers-to-be today. So she, too, was spending her day cleaning. And – sorry, Lucille – the first thing she cleaned up was the bouquet of lilies.

She'd rather just take her chances with the shark stink on its own.

Even if she spent far too long in the open air, standing outside the store (or what was left of it) and wondering what there was to be done about the front.

And why this felt so much more like home than before the hurricane, and whether that made her a bad person.
