At least the pumpkin holiday was over. Now there were poppies, and Seivarden didn't even bother to figure out what it was about. She was going to be a good employee and sell whatever people asked for and be polite over the phone even when she didn't have a clue what people were on about. She just hoped she wasn't going to turn into something.

The poppies looked nicer than the pumpkins though she thought, surrounded by them as she was while drinking cup after cup of tea.

"You guys know it's not Thanksgiving yet, right?"

The cook stared back. "Leftovers. I'm Canadian."

"First you've ever mentioned of it." Miguel crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. "And you don't serve reheated leftovers here anyway."

"We're testing out new things!" the busboy chirped.

Miguel eyed the...whatever it was, and sighed. "You know what, you do you."
