Furnado Animal Shelter; Thursday, 01/11.

Sidon was going to be much better about not just sitting around and letting little critters climb all over him this week. There was a lot of work to be done, and he was going to do it! It just so happened that he could also do it pretty easily even with kittens on his shoulders, which there were, a few of them, meowing encouragingly in his ear while he carefully balanced them as he put things up on shelves or cleaned out pens or took care of supply shipments.

And occasionally, some of those meows would turn indignant because they kept licking Sidon, expecting him to be food, and were very offended that he still wasn't food. Why wasn't he food? He smelled like food. They didn't like this. But they were apparently going to keep trying with the hopes that next time, he'd be food.

It was cute, though, so he didn't mind.

The Perk- Thursday morning

Brooke had to go into the store today, but it wasn’t like people were beating down the door to go there, so she was taking her time this morning. She’d intended to do othervwork while she was waiting around there, but then she’d gone for coffee, decided this was as good a place as any, and found a table near the window to do some sketching. Maybe they’d turn into actual clothes at some point, maybe not, but sometimes it was nice to get ideas out of your head and onto paper.

There were worse ways to spend a morning.
