When doing the radio broadcast yesterday, Seivarden had learnt that there were actual teahouses on Earth, which of course inspired her to go to the really crappy thing called a 'coffee house' that was her only option on the island. At least they what they made now was drinkable, but it had taken some instructions, for which Seivarden was grateful to Sparkle. But still.

"Do you really have to make the tea without wearing gloves?"

The barista ignored her and just put the cup down on the counter. Seivarden order a cookie was well, trying very hard not to think about how it had been made. She paid and found herself a table.

Groovy Tunes, Sunday

Jono came in to work, wrote out the paycheques for his staff, placed a few orders both for new instruments and for new albums, and then sat down near the counter with his guitar and started to play along with whatever happened to be playing on the stereo at the time.

Mostly grunge and rock music, actually. Which he didn't want to draw any attention to, lest the stereo stop behaving itself.

But he didn't trust it one bit.

Not one bit.

"Ah, hell," Sparkle muttered as he opened a box containing a shipment of assorted pajamas he'd ordered in. Apparently it was going to be one of those shipments. Not the sort of shipment that back in the old days would have been shoved directly into the burn barrel, but one of those shipments that turned out to be so ridiculously specific when it arrived that Sparkle couldn't imagine he'd be able to sell all of his stock before it stopped being relevant again.

But anyway, that was the reason all of the mannequins in the window were dressed up in cute bunny kigurumi.

It was also the reason they were selling practically at cost. Because as much as Sparkle appreciated the importance of making a profit, he also didn't want a hundred goddamn bunny onesies sitting around in storage until he could get away with pulling a few of them out again around Halloween.

"We're having a lazy day," the cook announced the moment Kanan had walked in through the door. "Everyone at the school got to go on vacation, we're all taking ours today."

Everybody agreed with a firm nod. Well, everybody except for the dishwasher, who was sulking a little, muttering something about scraping the crispy bits off the sides of the dishes.

Kanan shrugged.

"Sure, so long as there's food."

He still wasn't going to help the dishwasher scrape those casserole dishes out, though.
