Trooper Station; Monday [04/02].

Being a Monday after a major religious family holiday, it was one of those days when Rosa would actually be somewhat grateful to come into work, not talk to anyone, and throw herself into actually doing work because it beat having to deal with small talk about how everyone's Easter was. This was especially true for her this Monday because this Easter had the fun added bonus of Rosa's parents making it very clear that Rosa's mother was not ready yet and if she brought her girlfriend with her, well, then, she was just blatantly rubbing it in their faces and being an affront to their sensibilities, and on Easter, too! So instead, she just didn't show up at all, spending it with her girlfriend's family and trying not to be furious and hurt and depressed about the fact that her mother would rather not see her at all than see her with another woman.

Yeah. Work would be good. Work would be very, very good right now.

So then why, once she got in and got her coffee and settled down at her desk, could Rosa only seem to think about codpieces on the Trooper's uniforms? She found herself trying to determine whether they were all standard issue or if there was a noticeable variance in size...and wondering if (and how) she might go about figuring it out.

Devil's Nest, Monday Night

Okay, so Verity had been on the island long enough to recognize what was going on, but she'd shown up for work anyway. She wasn't going to skip out on work just because her hormones were more than a little jumpy. If nothing else, someone needed to keep Tiny in check, which she was doing with the water spray hose. If he got within three feet of her, she doused him with cold water.

In all, it wasn't even the worst shift she'd had--but then the new DJ started her set. And her set was very much curated for the feeling in the air, damn. By the time Marian Hill's One Time came on, Verity couldn't keep still anymore. She'd been slowly grooving along behind the bar for the last three songs, but that had tossing the hose down and the towel to Tiny to dance properly.

And that was when the DJ--and Verity didn't even know her name--came out and swept her up into a very hot Argentian tango routine. There was some confusion at first, since they were both used to following, but they ended up figuring it out. One song turned to three turned to five and by the time the DJ needed to go back to finish her set, Verity was sweating, exhausted, and her legs were practically jelly.

Wasn't what she'd been thinking about all day, but the Argentinian tango was always good for a distraction.
